I have a profound trust in birth, and have extensive experience in resolving and identifying deviations from normal.

I have attended over two thousand births at home and in birth centers.

I bring grace, allowing, and tenacity.

I am skilled in herbalism, suturing, twins and breech birth.

I completed my clinical training and didactic midwifery education through formal programming and continuing residency at Maternidad La Luz.

I have served as the vice president of the Minnesota Council of Certified Professional Midwives for the last five years.

I am the president of the The National Association of Certified Professional Midwives Minnesota chapter.

I grew up unschooling in rural Minnesota . I now live in Ely, Minnesota with my partner and our two children. Two goats, dog, cats, ducks and chickens. My practice serves folks in Northeastern Minnesota.

I hold a strong commitment to the elimination of discrimination based on race and ethnicity, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, size or weight, physical ability, mental health experiences, religion and spirituality, etc. I firmly believe all people deserve to not only be accepted for who they are but to have their diversity celebrated.
